Today we will talk about the third part of a beautiful fairy tale and the Hero from the colorful kingdom of Albion, or as it is popularly called – Fable III. And if we talk about the child Lionhead Studios, It would be stupid not to remember such a person as Peter Molyneux.
As a game designer and manager, he is quite talented, but one thing cannot be taken away from him – he is a master of artistic whistling or just a bit of an amateur (well, a bit? "enough" so to speak) exaggerate. Maybe it’s not just the name of the game “Fable” (from bourgeois – “fable”), because he really likes to spread these same “fables” to ordinary gamers. And, of course, the player believes him, because he is not some kind of buffoon, he is the head of the company(!) yes, only when this above-mentioned gamer gets acquainted with the game, his trust in his uncle Peter it won’t be the same.
But the so-called talent is also worth mentioning. You see, he can be said to have invented such a genre as "God simulator"(burzh. – God Sim). This was during the existence of the game studio"Bullfrog"(bulltoad?), of which he was the leader. I think it’s clear that the game manager has a lot of potential.

So, I, like many other gamers (I hope), was looking forward to the release of Fable III. Yes, I admit honestly, I envied the owners of consoles because they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the game last year. And finally it came out on PC, a couple of days passed and I have it, but now I finished it. “Everything is fine. “- I asked myself, but I assure you that I would like to ask the developers this too. I extended this pleasure over three days, several hours each. I really wanted this, albeit insignificant, time to be spent with pleasure and I tried to close my eyes to all sorts of unpleasant little things, but it didn’t always work out.

* Willy-nilly, I still mentioned the duration before I really got to the review of the game itself. And it’s time to fix this*

From princes to dirt and back
At the beginning of the game, as in the second part, we have to choose the gender of our hero, only, unlike its predecessor, here the future hero is not a commoner, but a member of the royal family, and even the child of the hero from Fable number two. By the way, we will no longer see the character’s childhood; the adventure caught the hero at the beginning of his adult life.
The beginning of our story is quite enviable – we live in a castle, our brother (his name, by the way, is Logan) is the king of Albion and everyone reveres us. But the fact is that our brother didn’t turn out to be a very good king, so to speak – he legalized child labor, overloaded people with taxes, brought cities to decline and famine. A kingdom on the verge of revolution. Our hero, of course, is not happy with this, for which he gets hit in the neck by Logan and ends up under house arrest. Fortunately, our faithful servant understands that the matter is rubbish and arranges for us to escape. And being deprived of a home and penniless in his pocket, our hero, either in order to save the people, or from the thirst for power, decides to lead the revolution. And now our hero faces a long… although most likely not a very long path from the snowy Khmarye back to the royal palace.

Inside view
RPG – this is the title the developers gave to the game. But, excuse me, it doesn’t look like the RPGs we’re used to, because it has several unusual features, but whether it’s good or not, everyone will decide for themselves.

"Path to Power"
You have https://betokaycasino.co.uk/games/ collected a sufficient number of guild seals, which is an analogue of experience from other RPGs, and you want to improve your skills? Welcome to the place called "Path to power" – this is something similar to the astral. It is a path divided into sectors that open as you progress through the storyline. In each such sector there are several chests with different skills, which require these same seals to open. There is nothing special among the skills – increased damage with a sword, firearms and magic, new spells, a bunch of unnecessary emotions and several skills to be a successful entrepreneur.

On the way, the Hero will face many dangers and adventures, in which he will have to rely not only on strength but also on his mind.
Although no… Perhaps only by force… Yes, only by force. Even though our protagonist grew up in a castle, he was trained to swing a saber, and how! Look, with one blow the sword breaks like a dry twig! But seriously, it all comes down to pressing one key. And this is in an RPG? No combos, no skills, just one key. The choice of weapons is not great – a sword or a hammer, a pistol or a rifle and a glove that creates magic. The style of play depends on the choice of weapon – if you use a sword or a pistol, you will hit quickly, but weaker than with a hammer or rifle, which in turn will hit slower. Any weapon can be upgraded, but it comes down to tasks like this: “Kill 50 civilians and get +16 attack”. Also, depending on the character and his actions, the weapon will change. As for magic, it’s just a terribly powerful thing, since there is no mana or casting time. Pressed the attack key a couple of times – *watch, watch* and the enemy died. Therefore, I imposed a ban on myself never to use it in order to make the game more interesting for myself. And there is one more nuance – at first you can wear only one glove of magic, which means you can use only one magic, but in the middle of the game you will have the opportunity to purchase the ability to wear a second miracle mitten for guild seals. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to wear the third glove anywhere.

Oatmeal amidst the battle, sir?
There is no inventory as such in the game. It was replaced by the so-called "Asylum". Getting there is quite easy – just press Esc, and voila, you’re already there. As you understand, this is a pause. You can go there at any time, except during the cutscene. In this place you can change clothes, weapons and appearance.e. hairstyle, facial hair and tattoos.
There are most likely difficulties with clothes in Albion, because I didn’t find any other explanation for the fact that the choice of costumes is rather scarce, and they cost more than a luxurious house. But the developers gave the opportunity to decorate things… You know, a rather dubious exchange.

The dog is the hero’s friend
Even before the game came out on PC, looking through the screenshots, I noticed a dog in them and for some reason it reminded me very much Torchlight, “Okay,” I thought. Now I realized that a pet there was much more useful, but a local animal can be useful, even though he (or she)? We were not given any hints about the gender of our companion) and cannot attack an enemy, but is capable of finishing off someone knocked to the ground or heroically taking part of the damage. The dog is also endowed with the ability to find treasure chests and underground hiding places.

Fable 3 could be… weird
Here you can go back to the beginning and remember Molyneux again. After all, after players neglected many interesting features in Fable II and simply ignored them, Peter got offended and said something like this: “You don’t need it.”? Okay, in the next part we’ll throw it all out!"So the fact of the matter is that he threw out everything, both necessary and unnecessary. There is simply no role-playing component left.

The social part involves dancing, playing pats, whistling and burping in your face. And if you want to start a family, then in addition to the above actions you also need to complete a quest, such as bring it, give it a kiss and give a ring. We watch the cut-scene of the wedding and you are a newly-made family man, congratulations. We go with our significant other to the bed, do the job and, voila, you instantly have a baby, congratulations.

Let’s move on. Have you played Mass Effect, Dragon Age or The Witcher?? You probably remember how many answer options there were for each interlocutor’s remark? Here you just sit and listen to the dialogue, but sometimes you will still be given the opportunity to choose the hero’s action, only the choice comes down to the banal “good” and “bad”. And in case of a “bad” answer, they will begin to explain to us that it is so bad and I am a very angry person. And the worst thing about this is that they won’t let me explain why I did what I did, what pushed me to commit this crime.

Did you like the interface in the last two parts?? Whether you answered “yes” or “no”, it doesn’t matter. There will be no “like” – “dislike” or “comfortable” – “inconvenient”. He’s just not here. As they say, “No interface, no problem”. But, unfortunately, they are present. Sometimes it’s difficult to find out about the hero’s health status, and the bloodscreen appears when our character dies after receiving a couple more hits.
As for the graphics, no matter how banal it may sound, the graphics are not like in cruise, which is good. She’s not that good or bad here, she’s “beautiful” or something, “kind” and, most importantly, “fabulous”.
The musical accompaniment is excellent. Russell Shaw knows his stuff.

The world is yours
The game also has an economic part – we are allowed to buy almost any building in Albion and receive income from it. But first you will need to knead dough for two hours, play the lute or forge swords. There is nothing complicated in working part-time, we just need to press two, and later three keys.
And having accumulated enough funds, you can start a machine for the production of gold, which will be very useful to us in the future.
It’s no longer a secret that in the end we will have the opportunity to rule the kingdom. And by the word “manage”, I mean again the choice between “good” and “bad”. Only if, as a king, we do something bad, no one will say to us “A-ya-ay!». Here the developers present us with a difficult choice – to be an evil king, that is, to steal money from the people for the army in order to protect their inevitable death, or to be a good king – to donate money to people from the treasury, but in the end watch their death. Sometimes making decisions is not so easy.
.
The game should not be taken seriously, you just need to play it and enjoy it. After all, this is the same “Fable” from the same series that is loved because it is interesting and fun to play.

Damn, I sat at home all day and didn’t know what to do, so I quickly jotted it down. It was interesting to try.
There was a problem with the screenshots, well, I think these will work too.
